Chesterfield County is seeking a Strategy and Performance Coordinator – Engagement and Communications to help employees, residents, departments, and County leadership better understand the County’s priorities, services, performance results, and improvement efforts. This position is part of the Office of Budget and Performance Management and will help turn complex budget, performance, service, and organizational information into clear messages, reports, presentations, stories, and engagement materials. Chesterfield already has strong departments, established communication channels, and a focus on performance and transparency. This position will build on that foundation by helping the County explain its work more clearly, gather useful feedback, and support employee and community understanding of major initiatives. This is a hands-on engagement and communications role for someone who can write clearly, work across departments, listen well, and help make performance information easier to understand and use. A strong performance function depends on more than data. It also depends on whether people understand the information, trust it, and know how it connects to County services, priorities, and decisions. This position will help Chesterfield County explain performance and service information in a clear, credible, and useful way. The work will support employee engagement, public transparency, department communication, and a better understanding of how County services, resources, and results connect.
