About The Position

The Planning Analyst primarily supports the analytical needs of the Strategic Planning and Business Development Department. As a super user of internal and external data tools, the analyst generates reports such as market analyses, provider-related reports, and internal utilization reports. The position supports the BHC Service Line structure, the provider development plan, the strategic planning process, and other key departmental initiatives.

Baptist Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system serving northwest Florida and south Alabama. It includes three hospitals, four medical parks, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, and a primary and specialty care provider network. The organization has more than 4,000 team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, finance, health care, marketing, or a related field, or four years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in data analytics within business development, marketing, strategic planning, health care operations, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data tools and resources to develop market and competitive analyses that inform strategic business decisions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to provide accurate information in accordance with data integrity standards.
• Identify data sources and data elements for performance analyses in consultation with leadership.
• Assist with managing and coordinating project deliverables and data reporting.
• Maintain data infrastructure for select external and internal data resources.
• Support the organizational cadence of market performance reviews by producing market and service line analyses.
• Assist with organizational and leader performance tracking managed by the division.
• Work with physician recruitment and physician enterprise management to track changes in the internal and external provider landscape.
• Manage utilization reporting to state agencies and national organizations as directed by leadership.
• Support organizational project management activities managed by the division.
