About The Position

The Corporate Strategy Analyst Intern is an integral member of The Hanover Insurance Group’s Corporate Strategy team. The group develops and advances strategies to achieve the company’s long-term vision, analyzes industry and societal trends and the competitive environment, leads strategy projects, and develops market and business insights in support of company businesses. The intern performs research and analysis, serves on project teams, and supports the development of presentations and white papers. The Summer Internship Program offers opportunities for personal and professional growth and potential career paths.

Requirements

• Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week internship program.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• 0–2 years of professional working experience.
• Curiosity and passion for learning.
• Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• MBA student or enrollment in a master’s or bachelor’s program with a business, marketing, or quantitative major is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Corporate Strategy team to develop strategic plans and execute special projects.
• Participate in meetings and workshops.
• Research insurance industry trends and innovations using public and internal resources.
• Conduct financial and market analysis.
• Develop presentations in PowerPoint.
• Learn strategy best practices and methodologies.
• Create and present a final presentation to management and leadership at the close of the internship, highlighting work accomplished during the summer.
