The Strategist provides consultative and analytical services with a strong focus on government policy, contributing to strategies for sites, shields or departments and other corporate priorities both independently and under the direction of a manager, director or division chair. This role tracks legislative and regulatory developments, translates policy shifts into strategic implications and helps leaders anticipate how government action affects Mayo Clinic priorities. Responsible for ensuring deliverables are met and outcomes achieved for the assigned projects. Partners across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, challenge the status quo and implement solutions and programs to advance priorities. Will provide strategic direction through analysis and insights to drive strategic choices and the planning process in line with the long-term strategic plan, including the policy and advocacy agenda. Supports strong customer relationships with both internal and external partners, including government and regulatory stakeholders. Serves as a change agent, championing agile ways of thinking and working to enable teams and people for success. Drives excellence in financial acumen, communication (verbal, written and presentations), business and strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting.
