Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of previous media planning experience, with multiple media channels preferred.
  • Strong understanding of media math, terminology, and analytical tools (MRI, Nielsen).
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to discuss their application in media planning.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Experience developing and presenting plan presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Strategist and Supervisor in media planning and client deliverables.
  • Create, format, and update flowcharts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Collaborate on the development of Points of View (POVs) for new media opportunities.
  • Utilize consumer research and competitive intelligence tools (MRI, Cadence, AdIntel) to identify trends and insights.
  • Prepare and distribute traffic instructions, track deadlines, and respond to inquiries.
  • Oversee billing and budget maintenance, working with budget analysts.
  • Organize team documents and maintain timelines to meet client deadlines.
  • Establish frameworks and templates for presentations and team projects.
  • Build and maintain communication with clients and media partners.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Keep leadership updated on deliverable status and timing.
  • Interact with other Horizon departments (Investment, Traffic, Operations).
  • Apply knowledge of clients' businesses and industries to enhance relationships.
  • Guide the development of Assistant Strategists, educating them on Horizon's culture, the media industry, and trends.
  • Delegate and manage Assistant's daily tasks, reviewing finalized work.
  • Contribute to performance reviews of Assistant Strategists.
  • Participate in the interview process for Assistant Strategist positions.
