About The Position

Project ECHO has an amazing opportunity for a Strategic Support Manager to join the New Mexico and US National Programs Team! The Strategic Support Manager will serve as the Deputy to the New Mexico and US National Programs Team’s Executive Lead, providing high-level strategic support and leadership. This individual will ensure that the technical and administrative functions of the New Mexico and US National Programs teams are expanding knowledge and capacity of the health workforce. Project ECHO is committed to democratizing implementation of best practices in healthcare, education and other areas where first mile professionals need support. We do this by training universities, nonprofits, and dedicated individuals on facilitation skills and how to set up robust virtual communities of practice to be able to scale their own expertise and missions to the benefit of their local communities. Over the past 20 years, Project ECHO and our partners have trained more than 1,000 partners who make up our global network of Universities, ministries of health, and NGOs around the world. Examples of programs we and others run include infectious disease control (Hepatitis C, HIV), mental health and addiction treatment, literacy, math, climate mitigation and many more. Project ECHO is funded in part by philanthropic grants and gifts from organizations such as the GE Foundation, the Helmsley Charitable Trust, the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, the Merck Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the US Government. Requirements

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of experience in healthcare
Master’s degree in Public Health and Community Medicine, etc.
At least 5 years of experience in staff and program management

Responsibilities

Directly supporting and managing the implementation of Project ECHO’s strategic direction and goals and working with ECHO leadership to implement strategy across programs and optimize impact.
Providing direction and integrative coordination in the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive community engagement strategy in rural and hard to reach communities. Designing, implementing, and evaluating robust community engagement strategies to maximize participant recruitment, retention, and network diversity across the US and New Mexico.
Cultivating and maintaining high-level partnerships with multiple external stakeholders, including community-based organizations, academic medical centers, and public health entities.
Working directly with ECHO leadership and policy leads to implement an operational policy-related strategy in compliance with UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC).
Developing and overseeing stakeholder and partner engagement strategies to meet communities where they are.
Overseeing the operational execution of a diverse portfolio of NM and US-based ECHO programs, ensuring high-quality curriculum design, fidelity to the ECHO model, and effective replication.
Collaborating across the newly integrated NM and US National Programs Team structure to synchronize initiatives while preserving the distinct specialized focus areas and resource allocation required for both state-specific and national roles. Directing cross-functional program teams, optimizing resource allocation, budget management, and timelines.
Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven evaluation metrics to measure the systemic impact, reach, and efficacy of outreach and engagement programs; this includes working closely with ECHO’s Research, Evaluation, and Data Insights (REDI) team.
Overseeing the collection and analysis of programmatic data to generate high-level briefs, executive reports, and grant deliverables for internal leadership and external funders.
Utilizing impact data including iECHO, surveys, and other feedback to drive continuous quality improvement processes across all managed program areas.
Designing, establishing, and maintaining an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the NM and US Program Team’s goals and objectives.
Representing the organization at national conferences, panel discussions, and stakeholder forums to elevate the profile of NM and US outreach efforts.
May represent the team and Executive leader in various stakeholder and community partnerships, internal operations, and others as assigned.
