Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Front-End Supply Chain)

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to manage the upstream lifecycle of our manufacturing supply chain. You will focus entirely on vendor strategy, commercial contract negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives. By collaborating with engineering, you will secure high-quality direct materials, optimize total cost of ownership, and mitigate supply chain risk before production begins.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years in strategic manufacturing sourcing or technical vendor management.
- Expert contract negotiation, should-cost modeling, and ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Advanced Excel modeling and proficiency in ERP software sourcing modules (e.g., M2K, SYSPRO, SAP, Oracle).
Responsibilities
- Scout, evaluate, and onboard high-performing global and domestic vendors.
- Conduct RFQs and negotiate master service agreements (MSAs) to maximize cost savings.
- Bridge communication between R&D, Quality, and suppliers to ensure material specs are met.
- Monitor market commodity trends and build multi-source supply plans to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Establish and report on Supplier scorecard KPIs regarding quality and commercial compliance.
