About The Position
This role serves as the primary expert for the Sourcing organization in the categories managed, focusing on manufacturing services in the Engineering area. The position involves working with Business Areas and Stakeholders to identify new areas of process improvement, reduce costs impacting Cost of Goods Manufactured, and implement methods for Process improvements within Operations. The role also requires applying Lean and Operational Excellence Principles, establishing and leading cross-functional sourcing teams, managing RFPs, negotiating Master Agreements, analyzing supplier financial stability, assessing insurance coverage with Corporate Risk Management, resolving Terms and Conditions with Legal, establishing supplier performance metrics and KPIs, and executing orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Four (4) years of Packaging Process experience within the regulated industry.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
- Project Management skills.
- Supplier negotiation, contracting.
- Strategic sourcing, capital procurement, operations/manufacturing.
- Construction management, manufacturing equipment, automation integration, commissioning, quality/validation, general contractors.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary expert for the Sourcing organization in the categories managed.
- Work with Business Areas and Stakeholders to identify new areas of process improvement.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs that impact Cost of Goods Manufactured.
- Modify or implement methods that lead to Process improvements to our Operations.
- Apply Lean and Operational Excellence Principles.
- Establish and lead cross-functional sourcing team in selection of suppliers and negotiations.
- Create and manage RFPx using electronic systems, i.e. ARIBA, SAP.
- Negotiate new or revised Master Agreements with key Suppliers.
- Analyze Supplier?s data to assess Supplier's financial stability risk.
- Interact with Corporate Risk Management to assess Insurance policy coverage.
- Interact with Legal to find resolution in Terms and Conditions with Suppliers.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor supplier performance stability and monitor potential risks.
- Execute orders once implementation criteria have been achieved.
