About The Position

This role is responsible for leading global sourcing activities for after-market parts across Lennox's Home Comfort Solutions and Building Climate Solutions segments, with a typical aggregate annual dollar buy of $300+ million per year. The position drives procurement cost savings across company expenditures, identifies and implements tariff mitigation and source optimization strategies, and develops both short- and long-term sourcing plans for complex, high-impact, and high-risk categories. The role is highly execution-oriented, with responsibility for negotiating complex supplier agreements, managing commercial terms, and driving cost reductions through data-backed analyses and structured sourcing strategies. This person will evaluate and challenge supplier price increases through detailed cost modeling and market benchmarking, while proactively identifying new suppliers, qualifying and onboarding them, and implementing dual-source strategies to improve resilience and competitiveness. Additionally, the role will focus on tariff mitigation, supply base optimization, and long-term category planning, leveraging cross-functional collaboration with category management, supply chain planning, and operations to ensure continuity of supply, quality performance, and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • At least 8 years of total experience in strategic sourcing and global procurement.
  • 4+ years of experience specifically in industrial parts and supplies sourcing.
  • Independent executor who is independently motivated.
  • Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Flexibility and creativeness in finding solutions under critical business situations.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including with executives and in international contexts.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of economic principles and financial markets.
  • Competent in computerized procurement systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.

  • Monitor and analyze indexes related to categories and global market trends to inform sourcing decisions and communicate insights.
  • Continuously research and track developments in the HVAC industry.
  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for assigned categories aligned with organizational goals.
  • Present sourcing strategies and progress during annual roadmap reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, supply base improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Category Management, Engineering, and manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support productivity initiatives, Category Management projects, and new product introductions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and performance management.
  • Conduct data-informed analyses to assess and communicate the validity of supplier price increases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier capabilities, geographic footprint, financial health, and operational strengths.
  • Lead negotiations and manage contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Establish and execute a structured plan for supplier visits and internal engagement.
  • Deliver against financial targets, including achieving net Material Cost Reduction (MCR) goals.
  • Ensure continuity of supply by maintaining on-time delivery, quality standards, and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Manage supplier-related issues, including claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and category management changes.
  • Drive competitive sourcing processes through regular spend-analysis and supplier benchmarking.
  • Develop and implement dual sourcing strategies and tariff mitigation plans.
