About The Position

The Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Aftermarket Strategic Sourcing team is seeking candidates to help accelerate the growth of the aftermarket. The volume of worldwide engine work content is increasing, and the established fleet is requesting advanced technical skills and knowledge to source new component repair suppliers and implement strategic sourcing projects. This experience will offer challenges on multiple engine programs, while evaluating engine components at different stages of their life and working as a team with multiple engineering and operation organizations. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, managing the request for proposal process, and working as a focal point for the industrialization of new component repairs at suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with 6 to 10 years’ experience OR Master degree with 4 to 7 years’ experience.
  • Field of studies: Business, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Business sense is a key competency in this role.
  • Good technical and product knowledge (engines).
  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Occasional business trips.
  • Very good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms, and to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with new suppliers and maintain relationships with current suppliers.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies by analyzing the performance and capacity of the supplier network.
  • Manage the request for proposal process (technical and commercial) for new component repairs.
  • Evaluate component repair suppliers and their potential offerings with the MRO engineering team.
  • Manage ongoing contractual activities and lead future contractual negotiations.
  • Act as a key participant in the industrialization of new engine component repair projects.
  • Manage all related processes, contracts, and business relationships with current and future component specialized repair suppliers.
  • Represent the Aftermarket Strategic Supply Chain team in Customer Service Governance meetings and Business Transformation forums.
  • Support the strategic evolution of the component specialized repair supplier network (contractual, commercial, and operational elements) in collaboration with Customer Programs, engineering, and operations.
  • Collaborate with the MRO component engineering team to establish the required specialized repairs needed by P&WC.
  • Manage and be responsible for the business case preparation for new requests for proposals (RFP), the issuance and analysis of RFPs, and the selection of new suppliers.
  • Be responsible for the specialized repair development industrialization and follow-ups on new repairs with the selected suppliers.
