About The Position

This role involves assisting Senior Managers in supporting business line senior executives, acting as a liaison with business partners, and providing direction and support to achieve TD and business-specific objectives. The position requires leading or assisting with supplier negotiations and RPFs to maximize price/performance, and influencing or intervening in supplier negotiations when necessary. The role also ensures adherence to enterprise frameworks and methodologies, leads relationships with corporate and control functions for alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements, and stays knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements. It involves assessing and escalating key issues, identifying, mitigating, and reporting on risk issues, and ensuring business operations comply with internal and external requirements. The role also contributes to cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert, manages oversight processes, and oversees or leads the implementation of action/remediation plans. A strong understanding of AI and IT/software vendors, solutions, and evolving market trends is crucial for informing sourcing strategies and business decisions. The role also involves evaluating AI commercial models and leading procurement strategies to optimize cost, scalability, and risk alignment, focusing on short to medium-term issues.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education and / or 7+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of AI and IT/software vendors, solutions, and evolving market trends to inform sourcing strategies and business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Managers in supporting business line senior executives.
  • Act as liaison with business partners and provide direction and support.
  • Present research findings and make recommendations to management.
  • Lead or assist with supplier negotiations/RPFs to maximize price/performance.
  • Influence or intervene in supplier negotiations when necessary.
  • Ensure team adheres to enterprise frameworks and methodologies.
  • Lead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Support team in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify, mitigate and report on risk issues per enterprise policy / guidance.
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements.
  • Lead relationships with business lines / corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert.
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary.
  • Manage oversight process, risk-based identification and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee or lead the facilitation and/or implementation of action / remediation plans.
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Engage with a team of professionals and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity or scope.
  • Ensure an integrated approach with other business areas, broader organization, and enterprise as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes multiple initiatives and manages resource allocation.
  • Establishes effective relationships with different Stakeholders, Business Sponsors, Executives and LOB.
  • Provides support and contributes to the overall discipline and strategy for respective areas.
  • Evaluates AI commercial models (e.g., consumption, licensing) and leads procurement strategy to optimize cost, scalability, and risk alignment.
