Strategic Sourcing contractor
About The Position
This role focuses on IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Management within a global organization, ideally in the financial services sector. The contractor will be responsible for developing RFXs and negotiating contracts for various IT categories including hardware, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services. The position requires a strong understanding of enterprise IT vendors and emerging technology providers, excellent organizational skills for managing competing priorities, and adaptability to organizational change and transformation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience at a global organization
- Experience in financial services is preferred
- Proven success developing RFXs and negotiating HW, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services contracts
- Knowledge of enterprise IT vendors as well as emerging technology providers
- Strong organizational competency with the ability to independently manage competing priorities
- Comfortable with organization change and transformation
