About The Position
Diamond Mowers is looking to hire someone to join their Strategic Sourcing team. This person would independently manage purchasing of assigned categories or commodities, balancing cost, quality, and delivery performance. Coordinates with internal departments to support production and inventory goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering preferred.
- 1-3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience.
- Proficient in current ERP systems
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute procurement plans for assigned materials and services.
- Analyze demand forecasts, usage, and lead times to plan orders.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, planning, operations).
- Identify cost savings or process improvement opportunities.
