About The Position

As a Strategic Sourcing Buyer based in Dallas, you’ll lead and support sourcing initiatives across the organization by executing RFPs, finding new sources, analyzing spending, evaluating suppliers, and making data-driven buying decisions. You’ll handle relationships with stakeholders and contribute to team objectives and savings targets. It’s a high-visibility role for an analytical, detail-oriented problem-solver who wants to grow in Procurement. You will play a key role in driving cost optimization, supplier standardization, and process governance across a multi-region footprint (US, Mexico, Europe), supporting strategic procurement initiatives and contributing to enterprise-wide cost control and compliance goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with a focus on indirect sourcing and supplier management.
Advanced Excel skills and proven data-analysis ability, building spend analyses, cost models, and reporting that directly inform sourcing decisions.
Track record of identifying and delivering measurable cost savings or process improvements.
Working knowledge of procurement principles, contract terms, and supplier negotiation.
Strong analytical judgment, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately.
Experience supporting or leading RFQ/RFP processes end-to-end, including supplier communication and analysis.
Ability to translate business requirements into clear scopes of work.
Experience working cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly.
Experience handling multiple categories or high-volume transactional environments.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in Spanish
Procurement or supply-chain certification (CPSM, CSCP, or APICS), or active progress toward one.
Experience with indirect procurement for multinational companies.
Experience with category management, contract management, or international/multi-site sourcing.
Exposure to multi-country sourcing or vendor coordination across regions.
Experience supporting cost reduction programs or transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support sourcing initiatives across key indirect categories such as facilities, MRO, logistics, professional services, HR services, and travel.
Assist in developing category strategies and maintaining sourcing pipelines.
Analyze purchasing data to identify negotiation opportunities and generate savings, and implement supplier performance indicators to track vendor performance.
Execute RFQ/RFP events: gather quotes, compare pricing and terms, and prepare sourcing recommendations for category managers and stakeholders, following established internal processes.
Track supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery) in conjunction with stakeholders, helping resolve issues and discrepancies, and bringing innovative solutions to problems.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval thresholds, and sourcing governance frameworks.
Support the contract review process, ensuring alignment with legal, EHS, and finance requirements where applicable.
Prepare standardized sourcing documentation, including scope of work, bid templates, and pricing matrices.
Ensure fairness and transparency by maintaining clear communication and consistent information sharing across all bidders.
Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, and value-creation initiatives, and build total cost of ownership (TCO) models to support sourcing decisions.
Work closely with internal customers to determine needs, manage vendors, and improve vendor performance.
Apply strategic sourcing methodology to achieve results and contribute to process enhancements that improve efficiency across the organization.
