About The Position

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support sourcing efforts across various categories of goods and services. This role involves assisting with RFx processes, analyzing data, evaluating bids, and generating spend reports to inform procurement decisions. The analyst will partner with category managers to drive cost savings, conduct market research, and contribute to process improvements that enhance overall sourcing strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey data-driven insights clearly and effectively.
  • Proven analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to resolve complex sourcing challenges.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented with a commitment to fostering strong working relationships and a positive work culture.
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Collects technical specifications and commercial specifications, including buyer info, bid item, volume, supplier management, pricing.
  • Benchmarks suppliers in RFx efforts.
  • Partners to identify Decision Matrix criterion and provide relevant data and recommendations back to internal category management team.
  • Informs current suppliers about upcoming bids.
  • Starts supplier outreach; submits list of potentially interested new suppliers and RFx for approval; manages the signoff list of potential suppliers for participation and RFx; Sends RFx request to targeted suppliers.
  • Supports or Leads RFx activity.
  • Drafts and clarifies requirements with stakeholders.
  • Defines and documents statement of work or goods.
  • Creates quantitative Decision Matrix.
  • Finalizes RFx (RFx document, Cost Breakdown document, Decision Matrix, Bid Parameters, etc.).
  • Collects post-bid data, analyzes, and provides recommendations.
  • Sets up demonstrations as required per need of evaluation.
  • Creates and generates detailed spend reports by sourcing category to be published to senior leadership.
  • Provides monthly/weekly input cost market reports pertaining to specific category.
  • Validates and reconciles quarterly rebate amounts via SAP data.
  • Identifies Best in Class process for analysis.
