About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Strategic Sourcing Analyst I opening for our client. This role is responsible for managing sourcing initiatives and negotiating contracts generally valued up to $1 million. It ensures vendor contracts are properly documented, competitively sourced, and aligned with organizational objectives. The role supports expense management initiatives through data analysis, market research, and strategic vendor selection. It collaborates with stakeholders across multiple business units to drive sourcing best practices and procurement efficiencies. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst I plays a critical part in ensuring the organization obtains the best value from vendor engagements while maintaining appropriate governance and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, supply chain, purchasing, or a related business function.
  • Experience supporting sourcing events, vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, or procurement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management processes and vendor governance programs.

  • Experience analyzing spend data and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business units and support functions to source qualified vendors that meet organizational requirements while delivering the best overall value.
  • Lead and facilitate strategic sourcing initiatives from planning through contract execution.
  • Identify and engage Executive Sponsors and cross-functional project teams to ensure stakeholder alignment and participation throughout sourcing engagements.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings to establish objectives, sourcing strategies, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Develop and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) based on business needs, market conditions, and organizational standards.
  • Coordinate vendor communications, bid submissions, demonstrations, reference checks, and site visits as part of the vendor evaluation process.
  • Facilitate the analysis, evaluation, and scoring of vendor responses against established selection criteria.
  • Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with project stakeholders and Legal to secure competitive pricing and favorable contractual terms.
  • Prepare and present sourcing recommendations, business cases, and project outcomes to executive sponsors and senior leadership.
  • Document sourcing initiatives, savings achievements, operational impacts, and vendor selection rationale.
  • Support Third-Party Risk Management activities by ensuring vendors are appropriately risk-assessed, vetted, and approved prior to contract execution.
  • Research procurement trends, analyze spend data, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and internal controls.
  • Escalate risk-related issues when necessary and support audit and regulatory remediation efforts.
  • Promote a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
