About The Position

The Strategic Search Consultant is responsible for recruiting, presenting, and filling senior-level direct hire positions for clients, aiming to exceed client expectations. This role involves identifying suitable candidates, scheduling interviews, negotiating salary offers, and developing new business opportunities. The consultant must conduct their work with integrity, build and maintain a strong network of contacts for candidates and leads, and participate in job fairs and professional relationship-building with educational institutions to source qualified applicants. A key aspect of the role is understanding how to build effective candidate profiles, determine optimal sourcing methods, and create compelling advertisements and job postings to maximize sourcing efficiency and reduce time-to-hire. The consultant will also screen job applicants, evaluate their qualifications, and manage employment negotiations, including controlling fees and addressing objections to ensure successful job placements.

  • Must be a highly self-motivated, money-motivated, goal-focused individual who is proactive and enjoys meeting new people and networking.
  • Provides regular communication with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and particularly comfortable and proficient with different job boards and Microsoft Suite.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently while demonstrating good common sense and sound judgment to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three year’s proven experience in sales or related field.

  • Knowledge of business office operations.
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and make decisions.
  • Dresses in appropriate business attire and is professional in appearance and conduct.
  • Adheres to Company Handbook and serves as a role model within and outside the Company while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Able to read, write, and fluently speak English.
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment and random drug screen.
  • Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, presents, and fills senior-level direct hire positions for clients, while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of the client.
  • Identifies candidates to present based on the client criteria; schedules interviews and negotiates salary offers.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and cross selling.
  • Conducts his/her work with integrity.
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to provide candidates and leads for available direct hire job.
  • Attends and actively participates in job fairs to recruit applicants for open positions through advertising.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified candidates.
  • Demonstrates and understands how to build a candidate profile that can drive an efficient sourcing program and is able to determine the best sourcing method for different candidates.
  • Successfully develops effective ads, job postings, and sourcing plans that maximize sourcing dollars and reduce time to hire.
  • Identifies and gathers relevant information from a resume for specific job categories while assessing candidates’ true goals and motivations to determine which candidates are most likely to be successful for specific job categories.
  • Provide initial screening of job applicants and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants.
  • Directs the efforts of employment negotiating and controlling employment related fees while identifying objections or problems in closing.
  • Negotiates effectively to gain commitment from the candidate and ensure job placement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
