Preference will be given to those located within approximately 50 miles, or those who can reliably travel to the area as needed. Join our Team Microsoft, Windows and Devices Engineering as a Strategic Sales Application Engineer (SAE) for Windows. This role sits at the exciting intersection of silicon architecture, engineering, and ecosystem strategy. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of the Windows platform while driving Intel's PC Client revenue through deep collaboration with Microsoft and Surface teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • 4+ years of technology industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in: Customer facing or sales experience
  • 2+ years of experience in: Technical design and customer support experience
  • 2+ years of experience in: Silicon architecture planning
  • 2+ years of experience in: Working with or within Microsoft Windows & Devices, or Microsoft Surface teams

Responsibilities

  • Own Windows silicon and platform architecture alignment, influencing long-range platform and SoC roadmap decisions through strategic engagement with Microsoft
  • Drive ecosystem enablement for next-generation Windows PCs, including early architecture work across component vendors, industrial design, and subsystem standards
  • Partner with Silicon Architecture teams to translate Microsoft architectural requirements into actionable silicon, platform, and system-level priorities
  • Collaborate with Client Engineering teams to select and drive appropriate co-engineering and launch support motions that accelerate time to market
  • Serve as the primary architecture bridge between Microsoft and internal engineering teams, surfacing misalignments early and driving resolution
  • Coordinate forward-looking architecture and ecosystem workstreams to co-define future Windows platform categories
  • Build bridges between Microsoft and Intel to grow our PC business through executing strategic initiatives
