Strategic Projects Specialist

New Western CorporateIrving, TX
$65,000 - $70,000

About The Position

The Strategic Projects Specialist is the operational backbone for New Western’s highest-priority, transformational initiatives as both scale from pilot into full national rollout. You’ll own field communications, reporting, and tracker upkeep across every market these programs touch, turning fast-moving data into clear, actionable updates for the field. This is a true entry point into real estate operations for someone early in their career. You’ll work alongside the Manager of Strategic Projects, get hands-on exposure to how a fast-growing real estate marketplace runs at the ground level, and build the track record to take on more.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, operations, communications, or a related field (internships and co-ops count).
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, field-facing updates for a broad, non-technical audience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines (daily, weekly, and monthly) without dropping details.
  • Comfortable working in spreadsheets and data trackers, and quick to pick up new tools and reporting workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience — recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to real estate, real estate investing, or a real estate-adjacent industry.
  • Internship, co-op, or coursework in project management, business operations, or consulting.
  • Experience with data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or BI dashboards).
  • Experience communicating with a distributed or field-based team.
  • A track record that shows grit and follow-through under a fast-moving workload, such as competitive athletics, leadership in campus organizations, or an entrepreneurial venture.

Responsibilities

  • Owns daily, weekly, and monthly field communications for programs going live or already live, including announcements and weekly status updates.
  • Takes the first pass at introducing new programs to the field once they’ve been designed and approved, translating strategy into clear, field-ready messaging.
  • Manages active-program follow-ups, keeping field-facing prompts and reminders on schedule.
  • Owns weekly and monthly reporting for live programs, running analysis through New Western’s existing AI-artifact workflow and cross-checking data for accuracy.
  • Maintains manual market-level statistics tracking for the field behaviors roadmap and Deal Operations, keeping trackers current market-by-market.
  • Escalates proactively, flagging markets at risk before they become bigger problems, and recommends solutions.
  • Keeps status current and chases open items across approved, nationally rolling-out programs, applying sound judgment on when routine work needs to be escalated.
