About The Position

The Strategic Procurement Manager will drive strategic sourcing excellence by leading data-driven procurement initiatives, optimizing total cost of ownership, and strengthening supplier partnerships to support innovation and operational performance. This role involves developing and executing strategic procurement plans aligned with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction goals, site objectives, and global sourcing strategies, utilizing market intelligence and advanced sourcing methodologies to optimize total landed cost. The manager will also cultivate and manage strategic supplier relationships, lead collaborative initiatives like cost reduction programs, and proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Additionally, the role includes leading complex procurement and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, partnering cross-functionally to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of materials and services, overseeing site-specific procurement processes for compliance and continuous improvement, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or engineering environments, with exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Skills in data-driven decision-making, cost optimization (TCO, TLC), supplier relationship management, project management, and familiarity with methodologies such as Value Engineering (VE) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • A collaborative, results-driven professional with strong communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment in a complex, global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans aligned with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction goals, site objectives, and global sourcing strategies, leveraging market intelligence and advanced sourcing methodologies to optimize total landed cost.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic supplier relationships, leading collaborative initiatives such as cost reduction programs while proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks through structured risk assessment approaches.
  • Lead complex procurement and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, partnering cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of materials and services.
  • Oversee site-specific procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal data governance, regulatory requirements (e.g., Incoterms, export controls), and continuous improvement of procurement workflows to drive efficiency and cycle time reduction.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle time, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across procurement activities.
