About The Position

Anduril’s Air Dominance and Strike Division develops next-generation collaborative combat aircraft, advanced effects, and the software that powers autonomous weapons. As programs grow and supply chains and manufacturing processes become more complex, the division needs a real estate footprint that supports both immediate program needs and long-term growth. The Strategic Planning Lead owns the answer to how much space the division needs, what types of space it needs, and where it should be located. The role manages current portfolio supply and demand, builds and executes plans for space assignments and moves, and develops a three-to-five-year real estate strategy. This includes coordinating with corporate real estate teams, program, production, and engineering teams to plan investments, site capabilities, manufacturing locations, and cost-effective logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6–10 years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities, strategy, business operations, program or operations management, or FP&A/capacity planning, with a clear interest in real estate and facilities and a record of enabling growth.
  • Some experience leading or mentoring analysts or associates.
  • Ability to connect long-term considerations to day-to-day decisions and handle both strategic planning and hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to quickly learn a program’s product, schedule, and stage and determine its facility needs and timing.
  • High agency and low ego, with experience taking ownership of an ambiguous problem without an established playbook and driving it to a decision.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives outside the reporting chain.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
  • Must be eligible to hold a US Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in engineering and production processes.
  • Experience planning space for a manufacturing or R&D ramp, including forecasting from incomplete data and understanding facility needs at each stage of a hardware program.
  • Experience sequencing moves or builds with numerous dependencies, including classified or secure space.
  • Strong analytical modeling skills in Excel and Python or SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern data platforms such as Palantir Foundry.

Responsibilities

  • Establish processes and requirements for submitting and reviewing space requests, and ensure demand data is accurate, current, and reliable.
  • Assess space requests against headcount plans, program schedules, and production ramps; understand program products, stages, and facility needs to distinguish firm requirements from speculative requests and advise teams on what to request and when.
  • Track changes in space demand.
  • Compare demand with current and committed space by site and timeframe, and work with corporate Space Planning and Strategic Real Estate to address gaps through reassignment, densification, site expansion, or additional buildings.
  • Ensure programs that need space have it or know when and where it will become available.
  • Develop and own plans for program moves, accounting for classified and unclassified infrastructure, utilities, program dependencies, and construction and IT lead times; re-plan as program schedules or ramps change.
  • Own the division’s three-to-five-year growth and real estate model, and work with corporate Real Estate and Facilities teams to justify major infrastructure investments.
  • Develop a long-term build-where strategy for complex hardware integration with production and engineering teams, considering facility capabilities, talent availability by geography, logistics, and cost optimization.
  • Model near-term scenarios—including program delays, ramp changes, wins and losses, and new sites—and their effects on space and cost.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are considered part of total compensation.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as a comprehensive and competitive package available at little to no cost to employees.
