About The Position

CALIBRE, an employee-owned mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company, is seeking an analyst to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J8. The role requires expertise in the documents and processes of the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS), including strategic document review and development, plans review, global force management (GFM), and Joint Force Design, Development and Experimentation. Experience in the strategic analysis community of interest is highly preferred.

The analyst will participate in analysis and formulation of advice and assist with preparing and presenting reports, briefings, and project deliverables. This is an on-site position with limited situational telework available. Work will be performed at the Pentagon or, alternatively, at the Herbert R. Temple Army Readiness Center in Arlington, Virginia.

Requirements

• Expertise with documents and processes encompassed by the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS).
• Experience with strategic document review and development, plans review, global force management (GFM), and Joint Force Design, Development and Experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Support NGB J8 engagement in the review and development of strategic documents, plans, GFM products, concepts, wargames, and analysis; assess equities and implications for National Guard forces, capabilities, and resourcing.
• Assess issues, provide timely information, and develop recommendations for NGB leaders participating in senior leader forums.
• Support the development and response to formal staffing actions through ETMS2.
• Assist in developing, staffing, and finalizing NGB senior leader correspondence and written military advice.
• Collaborate with staff across the NGB JS and Department of War to build or maintain relationships, strengthen situational awareness and knowledge of NGB missions, and anticipate requirements in support of NGB senior leaders.
• Participate in analysis and formulation of advice and assist in preparing and presenting reports, briefings, and project deliverables.
