The Strategic Operations Lead, Public Sector serves as a force multiplier for Socure's Public Sector business, supporting federal, state, and local government agencies—as well as education and healthcare institutions—as they modernize identity verification and combat fraud. Reporting to the General Manager of Public Sector, you'll operate as a strategic partner and chief of staff, driving go-to-market execution, operational excellence, AI-enabled workflows, and cross-functional initiatives that accelerate growth. This is an ideal role for someone from consulting, finance, government, GovTech, or civic technology who thrives in ambiguity and wants broad exposure to senior leadership in a high-growth, pre-IPO environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience (or 1–2 years post-MBA) in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to create executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
  • Exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across long, complex sales and procurement cycles.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a bias toward action.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity while balancing strategic thinking with execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with government procurement, contracting, RFPs, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Direct public sector experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of key customer and revenue initiatives, including quarterly business reviews, agency briefings, contract renewals, proof-of-value and pilot readouts, and RFP responses.
  • Support renewal and recompete strategies through pricing analysis, financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
  • Identify expansion opportunities through agency, program, and market analysis.
  • Develop executive-ready materials that translate customer, policy, and technical requirements into clear recommendations.
  • Partner across Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal to drive execution across complex public sector sales cycles.
  • Own key operating cadences, including deal reviews, forecasting, internal QBRs, leadership meetings, and all-hands.
  • Track priorities, dependencies, and follow-ups while proactively identifying and resolving blockers.
  • Improve reporting, workflows, and cross-functional processes to increase operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Build scalable operating systems, dashboards, AI-enabled workflows, and automation to improve execution.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Public Sector leadership, driving high-impact initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Conduct ad hoc strategic, financial, and operational analysis to support business decisions.
  • Bring structure to ambiguity by balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution.
