Requirements

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of technical and business environments.
  • Ability to develop and articulate strategies to meet business objectives for a broad functional area.
  • Accountability for the performance and results of cross functional groups within a business.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio like a “product” (business plan, positioning, buying process, market requirements, and marketing plan).
  • Ability to analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information, and create compelling market analysis presentations.
  • Ability to direct and control the activities of a broad function area and provide guidance to personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Ability to drive the growth process.
  • Ability to map the needs within targeted markets and analyze abstract market segmentations.
  • Ability to determine which segments to actively pursue.
  • Ability to work with management team to ensure that overall marketing function is effectively meeting the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Ability to create a product strategy that is integrated with AMAT products.
  • Ability to illustrate the vision and key phases of deliverables for products for a broad functional area.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction through managers for assessing existing and potential markets.
  • Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of technical and business environments.
  • Develops and articulates strategies to meet business objectives for a broad functional area.

  • Manages portfolio like a “product” (business plan, positioning, buying process, market requirements, and marketing plan).

  • Directs and controls the activities of a broad function area and provides guidance to personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
