FervorKansas City, MO

About The Position

At Fervor, we use our marketing and advertising expertise to impact the world for good. We're a strategy-first agency that partners with nonprofits and purpose-driven brands to align their message, clarify their voice, and move their mission forward. We're looking for a Strategic Marketing Account Manager who leads with insight, not just instinct, and who sees client relationships as opportunities to drive real organizational growth. This is a high-trust, consultative role that combines strategic thinking, relationship management, and operational execution. You’ll lead a portfolio of nonprofit and faith-based clients, serving as the primary point of strategic partnership between their organization and Fervor. You’ll guide conversations at both tactical and executive levels, helping clients connect marketing decisions to organizational priorities, growth initiatives, and long-term mission outcomes. You’ll bring perspective, ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities that move clients forward. Yes, you’ll manage the work. But more importantly, you’ll shape the thinking behind it.

Requirements

  • Experience in an agency, consulting, or strategic marketing role
  • Track record of growing client relationships, not just maintaining them
  • Excellent communicator, written, spoken, and in a room
  • Knows how to manage up, speak truth in love, and say "no" with confidence
  • Curious, collaborative, and brings a "we > me" mindset
  • Sees problems before they happen and already has a plan

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an agency, consulting, or strategic marketing role
  • You've been in agency or consulting work long enough to know the difference between a client who needs a plan and a client who needs a new way of thinking.
  • You lead with questions before you lead with answers.
  • You're comfortable in the room with senior leaders and just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves when the work needs it.
  • You think in strategy first and tactics second
  • Worked with nonprofits or faith-based organizations (bonus!)
