Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution, with a strong academic record
  • 5+ years of experience beginning in a rigorous, quantitative environment — investment banking, private equity/VC, management consulting, or corporate law — followed by a transition into growth, GTM, or business development at a high-growth company
  • An existing, credible network across enterprise decision-makers and/or the private equity, venture capital, and advisor community
  • A track record of converting relationships and introductions into measurable business outcomes (pipeline, partnerships, or otherwise)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with sharp business judgment
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders
  • Comfort operating with significant autonomy in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) from a top program
  • Direct experience working inside a VC or PE firm (as an investor, platform team member, or portfolio company operator)
  • International GTM or business development experience, particularly EMEA or LATAM; multilingual a plus
  • Existing relationships with advisors, investors, or executives relevant to HappyRobot's target markets and verticals

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with advisors and other strategic partners who act as lead sources for the business
  • Identify key decision makers at HappyRobot's top 100 accounts and leverage network relationships to build connections
  • Develop deep fluency in our top client verticals — understanding the operational pressures, buying dynamics, and decision-makers specific to each
  • Represent HappyRobot at industry events, investor gatherings, and executive forums to build the company's network and reputation
  • Partner closely with founders to prioritize relationships and introductions against company goals
  • Track and report on relationship activity and pipeline impact, and refine strategy based on what's working

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + equity in a high-growth startup
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
