Strategic Finance

TriomicsNew York, NY
$160,000 - $210,000Onsite

About The Position

Triomics is building the AI infrastructure for modern oncology. Across the U.S., cancer care providers rely on highly trained staff to manually review unstructured patient records such as pathology reports, clinical notes, genomic panels, and scanned faxes to support workflows like matching patients to the right clinical trials, preparing for upcoming visits, and quality reporting. We replace that manual effort with task-driven AI agents embedded directly into clinical workflows, automatically processing medical records at scale and in real time. Our platform is trusted by 4 of the top 10 Best Hospitals for Cancer ranked by U.S. News, along with several of the largest community oncology practices. We have grown 10x over the last year and now process millions of oncology medical documents each month. We're hiring our first Strategic Finance role to own the financial engine of the company. This is a build-from-scratch role, not a seat inside an established finance org. You will be the single most informed person on our numbers, from strategic finance and planning through the revenue operations that keep a complex, multi-stream business running. Triomics builds oncology AI for the country's leading cancer centers. Our fully EMR-integrated platform turns dense patient charts into structured clinical data and matches patients to trials. We recently closed a Series B which means the financial complexity (contracts, revenue recognition, renewals) is about to grow fast. The best person for this role has seen how a high-growth startup builds finance from the ground up, ideally as an early employee, and can move between board-ready strategic analysis and the operational detail of getting an invoice out and collected.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years within Big Four, then 1+ year in a high impact finance role at a high-growth startup
  • Experience as an early finance hire, where you joined when the team was small (>4 people) and helped it scale
  • Strong strategic finance instincts: modeling, planning, and turning numbers into decisions
  • Hands-on revenue operations experience: complex contracts, multiple revenue streams, AR, invoicing, and renewals
  • High initiative and bias to action, you spot a gap, build a plan, and execute without waiting to be told
  • Comfort moving between board-level strategy and operational detail in the same day
  • Based in NYC and able to work from the office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a health-tech company
  • Familiarity with enterprise or healthcare contracting and revenue recognition
  • Exposure to fundraising or diligence processes
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent
  • Experience selecting and implementing finance or billing systems

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic finance end-to-end
  • Build and own the financial model, budget, and forecast, and turn them into decisions leadership and the board can act on
  • Run scenario planning around hiring, burn, and runway as we scale
  • Produce board and investor materials, and be the person who can answer any question behind the numbers
  • Build and run revenue operations
  • Own the revenue side of a complex business: multiple revenue streams, non-standard enterprise contracts, and multi-year deals
  • Manage AR end-to-end: invoicing cycles, collections, and renewals, and keep cash flowing predictably
  • Partner with Commercial on deal structure, pricing, and revenue recognition
  • Stand up the finance function
  • Build the repeatable processes, controls, and systems a fast moving series B startup needs
  • Own the monthly close, cash management, and the relationship with external accounting and tax partners
  • Establish the reporting and KPIs that give leadership a clear, current read on the business
  • Be a force multiplier across the company
  • Give every team the financial context they need to make good calls, from a hiring plan to a pricing decision
  • Surface risks and opportunities early, then game-plan the fix and execute it yourself
