About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to partner closely with business unit leads and finance leadership on key strategic decisions that drive growth for Uber Freight.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of proven ability in Corporate Finance/Operational FP&A
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Forecasting and Variance Analysis
Financial Modeling

Nice To Haves

MBA, CFA or CPA
Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets
Experience with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion Essbase, or EPBCS
Experience building automated dashboards in Tableau or Power BI
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Specific experience with R&D/Tech labor capitalization (CapEx vs. OpEx)
Experience performing ROI analyses for capital investments or product health KPIs
Previous experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a fast-paced Tech/Start-up environment
Exceptional presentation skills, as this role requires "challenging the organization" and presenting to Tech leads and Finance leadership
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Previous experience in the logistics, supply chain, or financial services industries
Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

Build models from scratch, improve existing models, break complex models down into consolidating subcomponents
Partner with key stakeholders to translate top-line forecasts to headcount needs, ensure we are setting our business partners up to succeed while also challenging the organization to work within financial targets and efficiency goals
Support the primary point of contact for all Tech operating expense controls, including ongoing maintenance and health checks, monthly forecasts, and annual/long-range planning
Create cost management process by assisting in ideation, quantification, assessment, and tracking of productivity projects
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements to adjust our most pressing priorities
Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, demonstrating strong initiative and drive
Manage and interpret data effectively: Utilize your expertise to collect, organize, and analyze data, ensuring it informs strategic decisions and supports business objectives.
