About The Position

Key to an organization’s growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a proficient communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and promote an organization’s desired reputation. The Booz Allen National Resilience and Homeland Security team is seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to drive high-impact communication strategies across the enterprise. This role focuses on translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable messaging for stakeholder groups. As the strategic architect, you will design frameworks to bridge the gap between technical advancements and software development teams, lead major product roll-outs, and spearhead an enterprise-level AI Enablement strategy. You will collaborate closely with leadership to segment audiences, map channels, and define the vision, while guiding existing staff who support visual and editorial content creation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading strategic communications, corporate communications, or change management initiatives
  • Experience developing strategic communications within a technology, software development, or engineering environment
  • Experience in audience segmentation and crafting tailored messaging frameworks across varying levels of technical expertise
  • Experience designing and executing product roll-out or go-to-market communication strategies for software applications or IT products
  • Experience designing communication strategies that support enterprise-wide training, adoption, or enablement programs
  • Experience in stakeholder mapping and assessing or optimizing communication channels for large organizations
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and oversight to content creators, graphic designers, or writers without needing to develop the raw materials yourself
  • Ability to show a portfolio demonstrating translation of complex technical jargon into clear, compelling narratives
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic communications strategy to overcome information silos.
  • Map existing communication channels and stakeholders to introduce new, improved mechanisms for delivering critical AI information directly to software development teams.
  • Design the comprehensive communication and messaging strategy for upcoming AI product releases.
  • Analyze and segment the audience to craft tailored "What’s In It For Me" (WIFM) value propositions for different user groups and technical tiers.
  • Define and deploy an enterprise-wide strategy for AI Enablement, creating roadmaps for training opportunities, continuous learning, and elevated awareness across the agency.
  • Analyze complex organizational structures to identify key stakeholder groups, tailoring communication frameworks to match their technical literacy and operational needs.
  • Provide strategic direction and governance to internal teams tasked with material development, ensuring all newsletters, briefings, and multimedia content align with the broader communications blueprint.
