About The Position

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is seeking an Assistant to support the Head of the Strategic Client Advisory group in Los Angeles. This group focuses on enhancing and protecting the value of clients' work across film, television, and streaming by structuring deals for individual projects and broader partnerships. The team also offers strategic and business-building support for client production companies. The ideal candidate will assist with research to support clients in building production companies, ideally developing strategic insights and marketplace expertise. This role requires a passion for film and television, an interest in deal structures, a self-starting attitude, and a desire to learn about the business and legal aspects of the entertainment industry. The Assistant must also manage a high volume of administrative tasks and communicate effectively with the team, clients, and other professionals. The group is part of the Film department but collaborates with clients across the agency. The Assistant will work directly with senior Film & TV agents, Business Affairs Agents, and CAA Leadership.

Requirements

  • 10 months + of professional working experience in an administrative or project management capacity.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, balance multiple projects and expectations, and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, follow-up, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, while maintaining confidentiality is a must.
  • Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to become familiar with existing systems.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Familiarity with film, television, or other entertainment contracts is preferred, but not required.
  • Passion for film and television.
  • Interest in learning about deal structure.
  • Self-starter.
  • Desire to gain exposure to the business and legal aspects of the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Handle administrative duties including phones, calendar management, and general office management.
  • Track contracts and maintain data on deals, studio release calendars, market share files, and other relevant client information.
  • Serve as the first point of contact with clients and executives.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Expand the role over time to include additional coordinator-level responsibilities in support of the group.
