About The Position

HF Sinclair is seeking a Strategic Business Development professional to serve as the primary liaison for Joint Venture (JV) partners and internal stakeholders. This role will oversee JV marketing initiatives, own new business ventures, manage financial performance including P&L responsibility, coordinate governance activities such as board meetings and reporting, and drive strategic planning within the JV structure.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Downstream Marketing is required or equivalent years of experience.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a management related field is required.
  • Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives.
  • Excellent follow through skills.
  • Good creative, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of assignments related to the daily operation of HFS marketing joint ventures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, works well in team problem solving situations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for JV partners addressing inquiries and requests.
  • Support budget planning and strategic business development initiatives.
  • Lead marketing efforts for JV-related projects and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Respond to management, accounting, and tax-related inquiries regarding JV activities.
  • Organize and prepare materials for JV board meetings, including decks and reports.
  • Monitor monthly and quarterly financial performance.
  • Develop internal reports for financial monitoring and projections.
  • Serve as the liaison for accounting and tax during close processes.
  • Track cash levels and manage distributions.
  • Attend industry events and training sessions to stay informed on market trends and macro factors.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
