About The Position

The Business Development/Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth through new business development, account expansion, and long-term client relationship management. This role requires a proactive mindset combined with strong relationship-building skills to develop and maintain a strong client base.

Requirements

  • Years of experience in business development, sales, or account management preferred
  • Experience in industrial services, environmental services, or oil & gas preferred
  • Proven ability to generate new business and grow accounts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented
  • Ability to travel (50%+ or as needed)
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with company revenue goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industrial, petrochemical, pipeline, marine, and environmental markets
  • Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, bid platforms, and industry relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and field-level client contacts
  • Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for assigned territory
  • Develop and present customized proposals and solutions to clients
  • Assist with bid development and pricing in collaboration with operations and leadership
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting
  • Partner with operations to ensure successful execution of awarded work
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across all service lines - this is where the proactive thinking comes in!
  • Provide reporting of pipeline, account activity, and territory performance
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors, industry trends, and company services
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events as needed
  • Support resolution of customer concerns, billing issues, and service escalations
