About The Position

Assertive Professionals is seeking an Expert Strategic Business Consultant to support our National Security customer in Springfield, Virginia. This is an open and funded position with a salary range of $160,000-$170,000, and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus or reimbursable relocation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a Business related field such as Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA Level III certification in Program Management or equivalent specialized experience with Project Management tools and techniques.

  • MBA in Business or International Business.
  • Demonstrated specialized experience with enterprise architecture and/or solutions architecture
  • Demonstrated specialized experience in the development of pre-acquisition and acquisition documentation.
  • Demonstrated specialized experience with acquisition strategies and approaches for follow-on or new enterprise contract vehicles, in the procurement of critical skills sets and staff augmentation for the government.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading: value chain analysis; brainstorming sessions; concept development, tabletop exercises or risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in recommending strategies and developing plans to effectively manage risk across the project or organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Consultant to the Government-led team that defines and implements strategies to identify commercially available solutions to enable the NGA efforts to provide an integrated customer service experience and deliver world-class geospatial knowledge, content and services to customers worldwide.
  • Use innovative approaches and non-traditional methodologies to solve customer problems and develop new capabilities in support of the NGA’s GEOINT online services.
  • Identify and exploit the innovations of others, including industry, partners and customer communities.
  • Develop follow-on as well as new NGA acquisition strategies to obtain critical skills sets to augment the Government workforce.
  • Support collaborative teams of multi-functional resources in the delivery of specific technical and/or process projects.
  • Assist the Government in the preparation of Acquisition documents and briefings to meet NGA Acquisition milestones.
  • Provide expertise to align technical requirement with acquisition strategies.
  • Provide technical and acquisition expertise to support the Government multi-functional team throughout the entire Acquisition process.
  • Support the development of pre-acquisition documentation in preparation for a new NGA acquisition.
  • Research acquisition topics for use in acquisition strategies and documentation.
  • Analyze and evaluate new emergent technologies and /or processes for opportunity and application to NGA Initiatives.
  • Provide advice on business case development for NGA strategic initiatives.
  • Support to the management of multiple concurrent technology projects from problem definition through new capability adoption.
  • Support to the implementation of new strategies to expedite prototype testing and feedback quickly and spur agile acquisitions.
  • Use knowledge of industry trends to influence NGA planning.
