About The Position
In this role, you'll assess how long-term regulatory, economic, and industry trends will shape the reliability, efficiency, and adequacy of generation and transmission infrastructure. You’ll dive deep into the complex interactions of our energy systems—like the critical relationship between natural gas and electricity networks—to identify emerging risks and inform bold, forward-looking decisions. This position is both technical and strategic, ideal for someone who can translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. You’ll present your findings to internal teams, regulators, and industry leaders—helping to shape policy, align stakeholders, and drive long-term planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in one of several engineering or technical fields.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing industry trends and regulatory developments to assess their impact on power system planning.
- Evaluating the reliability and adequacy of the grid using advanced engineering and economic tools.
- Monitoring emerging energy issues, including gas-electric interdependencies, to guide strategy and mitigate risk.
- Creating compelling reports and presentations tailored to a range of audiences.
- Collaborating across teams to solve tough challenges and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Engaging with regulators and industry partners to build consensus and support sound decision-making.
