Strategic Advisor

Sacramento Ultrasound Institute

About The Position

The Strategic Advisor is a senior counselor to the President & CEO of Sacramento Ultrasound Institute (SUI), providing high-level strategic guidance, industry relationship access, and executive judgment as SUI scales its programs, partnerships, and regional presence. This is a senior advisory role for an accomplished healthcare executive whose relationships, reputation, and operational wisdom accelerate SUI's growth in ways that no internal hire or traditional consultant can replicate. The Strategic Advisor does not manage day-to-day operations, curriculum, compliance, or internal staff. Instead, this role serves as a trusted external voice — opening doors, testing strategy, and shaping the enterprise partnerships that define SUI's next chapter.

Requirements

  • Accomplished healthcare executive
  • Extensive relationships and reputation in the healthcare industry
  • Operational wisdom in healthcare
  • Experience running large imaging enterprises
  • Understanding of how workforce, operations, and reimbursement connect

Nice To Haves

  • Access to executive-level relationships across Northern California health systems (Sutter, Dignity, Adventist, Kaiser, UC Davis, community hospital networks)

Responsibilities

  • Open doors to executive-level relationships across Northern California health systems — including Sutter, Dignity, Adventist, Kaiser, UC Davis, and community hospital networks — to expand SUI's clinical rotation sites and establish long-term affiliation agreements.
  • Provide introductions, participate in select executive conversations, and lend credibility to SUI's partnership positioning.
  • Advise on the strategic positioning, market timing, and industry demand signals for SUI's upcoming CT, Mammography, and Electrophysiology programs.
  • Validate program design against what hiring managers and imaging directors actually need in the workforce, and help identify anchor employer partners for each program launch.
  • Identify and open conversations with health systems interested in co-funding cohorts of SUI students in exchange for guaranteed hiring pipelines.
  • Advise on structure, pricing, and negotiation strategy for these partnerships as they materialize.
  • Serve as a thinking partner to the CEO on strategic decisions — expansion, market positioning, competitive dynamics, organizational structure, and long-term vision.
  • Bring the perspective of a healthcare executive who has run large imaging enterprises and understands how workforce, operations, and reimbursement actually connect.
  • Represent SUI at select industry gatherings, executive conversations, and health system meetings where the Strategic Advisor's presence meaningfully advances SUI's positioning.
  • Lend name recognition and reputation to SUI communications and partnership development where appropriate and mutually agreed.
