Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5+ years of progressive experience in distribution and transportation
  • Strong leadership in continuous improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency using Lean principles
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, WMS (AS400-based), TMS, and fleet routing tools
  • Able to develop and implement scalable programs and processes
  • Willing to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end transition of branches to the Branch of the Future, including strategy, planning, scheduling, and local team support
  • Collaborate with Divisional, Regional, and District leadership to align transitions with seasonality, lease terms, market needs, and workforce engagement
  • Partner with Strategic Expansion, Real Estate, and Facilities teams to align build-outs, relocations, and greenfield sites with Branch of the Future standards
  • Drive productivity and cost savings through layout optimization, fleet efficiency (including Final Mile software), and freight reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., FP&A, Supply Chain, Sales, Fleet, Safety) to identify cost efficiencies and operational improvements
  • Set performance targets for new facilities and track measurable outcomes tied to cost and service goals
  • Ensure branch layouts and operations are optimized using Lean assessments
