About The Position

Tempel is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive sales and market share growth within assigned strategic accounts and territories, solidifying Tempel's role as a trusted partner for electric motor cores. This role demands strong relationship management, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in industries like automotive, motorsports, rail, aerospace, or industrial markets, and a proven ability to build lasting, value-based customer relationships. The position can be filled at various levels depending on candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Experience in account management, business development, or technical sales within automotive, motorsports, rail, aerospace, industrial, or related markets
  • Experience with B2B sales and consultative or value-based selling approaches
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams and functions
  • Technical aptitude and ability to support customer discussions involving engineered or manufactured products.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic customer relationships to drive profitable sales growth within assigned accounts and territories
  • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, customer engagement, and competitive intelligence
  • Build and maintain value-based partnerships that position Tempel as a preferred supplier and business partner
  • Develop account strategies and business plans to support customer growth, retention, and long-term profitability
  • Lead or support pricing, supply, and commercial negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure strong customer support, operational alignment, and successful program execution
  • Maintain and manage sales pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer information within CRM systems
  • Participate in customer meetings, quoting activities, contract discussions, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Customer Service teams to support customer requirements and business objectives
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive developments to identify growth opportunities and risks
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to support customer and engineering discussions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to overall commercial strategy and market development
