All while working in an environment that emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and professionalism. We are currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager for our corporate office in Houston, TX. PURPOSE: The Strategic Account Manager (“SAM”) role is an integral member of the sales team charged with the management and execution of strategic business initiatives as well as ensuring the financial performance of the client account. Builds, maintains, and expands relationships with assigned accounts, while representing the entire range of company products and services. Typically assigned to three to five strategic customers, the SAM is responsible for achieving a specified sales quota and strategic account objectives. Leads customer account planning and ensures assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • 4-6 years Related Experience
  • Relevant strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Strong computer and CRM proficiency

  • Relevant outside sales experience in the oil and gas industry with a track record of account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Facilitates client meetings and guides the decision making process within larger groups.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including operations, PL, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Proactively leads the strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and financial targets and meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Actively participates in creating pricing strategies, resolving pricing challenges, detailing special terms & conditions and MSA development.
  • Acts as the first point of escalation for issues that our operations and/or PL teams cannot resolve themselves. The SAM will lead resolution of issues, disputes, service quality issues in order to maintain client confidence and relationship.
  • Proactively develops and maintains account development, contacts, and opportunity profiles within MicroSoft Dynamics CRM
  • Tracks, monitors, and engages internally and externally on all HES reporting, initiatives and client engagements and safety meetings.
