PURPOSE: The Strategic Account Manager (“SAM”) role is an integral member of the sales team charged with the management and execution of strategic business initiatives as well as ensuring the financial performance of the client account. Builds, maintains, and expands relationships with assigned accounts, while representing the entire range of company products and services. Typically assigned to three to five strategic customers, the SAM is responsible for achieving a specified sales quota and strategic account objectives. Leads customer account planning and ensures assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.
