About The Position

Education Management Solutions (EMS) is looking for a dynamic Strategic Account Manager to lead retention and expansion across their most important customers. This role is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization focused on advancing healthcare education through innovative simulation technology. The Strategic Account Manager will play a critical role on the Sales team, partnering with healthcare systems and academic institutions to strengthen relationships, expand EMS's footprint, and deliver solutions that make a real impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5–7+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development
  • Proven success in retaining and growing customer accounts
  • Experience managing complex, enterprise-level relationships
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50–75%

Responsibilities

  • Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of strategic customers through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and performance metrics
  • Develop trusted partnerships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers
  • Create and execute account plans aligned to customer goals and long-term success
  • Present EMS products and deliver tailored demos that align to client needs and use cases
  • Identify new areas for growth within existing accounts and drive expansion efforts
  • Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle from discovery to close
  • Partner with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account activity in Salesforce
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and business cases
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline with clear visibility into account activity
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting within Salesforce
  • Support client engagement initiatives including onsite demonstrations, workshops, and events
  • Represent EMS at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer engagements
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in sales strategy and go-to-market execution
