About The Position

Under the general direction of the division leader, the Manager of Strategic Accounts plays a critical role in the growth of our business. This key leadership position is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service for our customers and developing strategic and tactical relationships. The day-to-day focus of this role is to grow accounts and develop new customers into the ITS network. This position works closely with the Manager of Network Operations to ensure the operational and people dynamics of the team are executing at the highest level of excellence. The Manager of Strategic Accounts is ultimately responsible for the team’s overall performance and measured account growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred. Training/certification or equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • 1 year minimum experience in a hyper-growth environment, logistics industry specific experience required.
  • Honest, adaptable and committed with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead team members towards a common goal, managing team dynamics and providing development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall leadership, growth, development and operational execution of the team and assigned accounts.
  • Solicit existing accounts for new opportunities, communicating, and executing all business requirements for assigned accounts.
  • Onboard and develop new customers including creating, updating, and maintaining new and existing SOPs.
  • Works closely with the Enterprise Sales team to help develop and leverage the sales strategy to land new opportunities for both new and existing customers.
  • Ensures customer interactions and feedback are entered into the CRM.
  • Price all opportunities available (ad-hoc, bid board, dedicated, etc.).
  • Maintain the client pipeline and hits internal CRM KPI’s established.
  • Create, price and manage all available RFPs.
  • Negotiates customer rates.
  • Create and manage monthly Customer Status Reporting (KPIs, new business, downturns, etc.).
  • Ensure the financial health of assigned accounts by monitoring unbilled and past due invoices.
  • Complete monthly and annual business plans, projections, and conduct routine business reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
