About The Position

ATG is looking for a LTL Billing Manager to join our team. This individual will support all aspects of billing for the LTL department and ensure all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy. This includes receiving, processing bills, and payments from the carriers and customers, as well as verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments. The LTL Billing Manager will be responsible for managing the offshore LTL Billing team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, preferably an associate's degree or above
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous professional work experience
  • Previous billing experience in LTL strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in the freight/transportation industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to consistently pay significant attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate office equipment and tools - e.g., phones, computer systems, internal and external portal

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for research and resolution for escalated client billing discrepancies and provide assistance to agents and carriers regarding LTL specific billing issues.
  • Providing prompt and solution-oriented communication to resolve issues and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Manage the timely processing of outgoing invoices to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Maintain and audit the Open Loads Report, providing regular updates to leadership on pending shipments and unbilled revenue.
  • Oversee the "Review Documents" queue and utilize TransFlo WFAI to process digital documentation with high accuracy.
  • Lead special projects as assigned and adapt to evolving business needs to support the overall growth of the LTL team.
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members to track progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer the support necessary for professional growth.
  • Review billing performance metrics to identify trends, flag potential concerns, and implement corrective actions to maintain departmental standards.
  • Lead Aging Meetings with our top LTL carriers to review unpaid invoices and resolve long-standing outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate with other departments to help resolve any AP or AR-related issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to assist agents, carriers, and other departments or partners (such as TransFlo) with navigating LTL billing hurdles.
