About The Position

The Strapping Operator is responsible for operating a strapping machine using a touchscreen interface, printing and attaching lumber tickets, reading measurements for band placement, and performing routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks. This role requires a commitment to safety, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and physical stamina to perform various tasks throughout the work shift.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to understand, clearly communicate, and follow all safety rules and policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to make decisions quickly utilizing hand, eye, and foot coordination.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to working safely and following safety rules/procedures.
• Operates strapping machine from a touch screen.
• Prints lumber tickets and attaches them to the lumber pack.
• Reads measurements for proper band placement.
• Replaces strapping rolls on machine.
• Performs weekly/daily maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Performs general housekeeping on machine and working area.
