About The Position
The Strapper-Tarper ensures that loads are strapped and tarped in accordance with safety regulations. The position involves securing loads to flatbed trailers and maintaining timely, regular attendance according to the shift scheduled by supervisory personnel. The role requires knowledge of applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the ability to handle chains, straps, tarps, tie-downs, and related equipment. Applicants must pass a required drug/alcohol test. Physical duties include frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting more than 125 pounds.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Pass the required drug/alcohol test.
- Ability to handle equipment including chains, straps, tarps, and tie-downs.
