About The Position

The Class B P&D Driver will be responsible for performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment, transporting freight and related materials on a pickup and delivery route with some-touch freight. This role requires adherence to all DOT, FMCSA, and CFR regulations, professional interaction with customers and co-workers, and a commitment to safety and security. The driver will also handle freight loading/unloading as required and complete accurate driver logs. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

A minimum of 2+ years CDL driving experience
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, & physical evaluation
Must successfully pass a road test / skills evaluation (administered in-house)
Candidates must be able to lift 75lbs or greater
All driving applicants must possess a valid CDL and Fed MedCard prior to hire
Valid Hazmat & Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain both endorsements within the first 60 days of employment
No major driving infractions within the past 3 years

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment, notating any defects.
Transport freight and related materials by commercial vehicle on a pickup and delivery route, with some-touch freight.
Report departures, delays, arrivals, and POD information.
Deliver and pick-up freight as assigned/dispatched, in a safe and timely manner.
Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and CFR regulations and requirements.
Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
Promote a commitment to safety and security at all times.
Complete and certify accurate driver logs.
Handle freight loading/unloading as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
