About The Position

This role involves operating a Class B P&D (Pickup and Delivery) straight truck. The driver will be responsible for transporting freight and related materials on a daily route, with some-touch freight handling. Key aspects of the job include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhering to all DOT and FMCSA regulations, interacting professionally with customers and co-workers, and maintaining accurate driver logs. Safety and security are paramount in this position.

Requirements

A minimum of 2+ years CDL driving experience
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, & physical evaluation
Must successfully pass a road test / skills evaluation (administered in-house)
Candidates must be able to lift 75lbs or greater
All driving applicants must possess a valid CDL and Fed MedCard prior to hire
Valid Hazmat & Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain both endorsements within the first 60 days of employment
No major driving infractions within the past 3 years

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment, noting any defects.
Transport freight and related materials by commercial vehicle on a pickup and delivery route.
Report departures, delays, arrivals, and POD information.
Deliver and pick-up freight as assigned/dispatched, in a safe and timely manner.
Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and CFR regulations and requirements.
Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
Promote a commitment to safety and security at all times.
Complete and certify accurate driver logs.
Handle freight loading/unloading as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
