About The Position

The Straight Line Burner processes steel flame-cut plates using a CNC burning machine or track torch while following safety protocols and producing quality products that meet customer specifications. The role includes laying out and tracing machine paths on material, squaring torches to material, cutting plate, confirming dimensional requirements, completing inspection forms and recording inspections in the ERP system, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts. The employee may also perform duties assigned to General Labor/Operator A. Additional CNC beveler functions include processing steel flame-cut parts with a portable track burning machine, reading job orders and prints for layout, and laying out dimensions on material according to customer specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to read prints.
Computer knowledge.
Ability to operate hand torches.
Ability to operate hand tools and grinders.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work with hot material.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Welding or torch experience preferred.

Responsibilities
