The Alaska Humanities Forum is searching for a motivated individual to serve as a Story Works Coordinator (Lead Teaching Fellow). The Coordinator will facilitate classroom story workshops and College & Scholarship Essay workshops; support the Program Manager in delivery; mentor Teaching Fellows; and coordinate volunteer engagement. This position is grant funded for calendar year 2026 with the hopes of securing continued funding. Story Works – a program of the Alaska Humanities Forum – is a trauma-informed, classroom-embedded storytelling program that takes place in English Language Arts classes. Story Works provides a safe and structured approach for middle and high school students to develop and share a true, personal story. The program has served 6,000+ Alaska youth since 2014.
