The City of Greeley is seeking qualified candidates to join the Stormwater Division as a Stormwater Systems Technician I, II, III, or IV. These positions maintain, repair, inspect, and construct the City's stormwater infrastructure to protect public health, property, and the environment while ensuring the safe and efficient conveyance of stormwater. Stormwater Systems Technicians maintain storm sewer systems, culverts, inlets, manholes, detention ponds, drainage channels, and related infrastructure. Positions operate light, heavy, and specialized equipment, including vacuum trucks and CCTV inspection systems; support regulatory compliance; and participate in flood response, snow and ice removal, and other emergency operations. Responsibilities increase by level and certification and include greater independence, technical expertise, equipment operation, troubleshooting, project and crew coordination, training, and leadership. Candidates may be hired at the Technician I, II, III, or IV level based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and demonstrated competencies. The classification provides a structured career path with advancement based on demonstrated performance, experience, technical proficiency, and required certifications.
