Requirements

Solid foundation in stormwater management principles and drainage infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of erosion and sediment control practices.
Comprehensive understanding of applicable Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations and Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) MS4 permit requirements.
Familiarity with EPA Clean Water Act standards.
Ability to investigate illicit discharges and illegal dumping.
Skill to respond effectively to residential drainage and stormwater complaints.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conducting inspections of construction sites to ensure adherence to TCEQ stormwater regulations and best management practices (BMPs).
Addressing residential drainage and stormwater issues.
Investigating illicit discharges and illegal dumping.
Responding to residential drainage and stormwater complaints.
