About The Position

Apex Companies, through its Tully Consulting Group division, is seeking a dynamic Stormwater Inspector to join their growing team in Northern California. This role involves conducting stormwater management inspections at job sites, preparing reports in accordance with state and local regulations, and performing water quality sampling and analysis. The inspector will also serve as a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner Delegate on construction sites and perform Industrial Site Inspections. Tully Consulting Group specializes in stormwater management and civil engineering, partnering with public and private clients to provide compliant and sustainable solutions.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and typing/data entry.
Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform extensive walking (1/2 mile or more) on uneven surfaces at construction sites.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving to and from job locations.

Nice To Haves

College coursework or degree preferred.
Experience with Asana or similar project management software is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Prior SWPPP inspection experience preferred.
Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) certification.
Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) certification.
Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner (QISP) certification.

Responsibilities

Conduct weekly and rain-event inspections, or other required inspections, at job site locations.
Monitor weather forecasts daily in preparation for rain events.
Answer emails from contractors/co-workers in a timely manner.
Prepare annual reports for completed jobs.
Update annual report data quarterly for each job.
Store reports, photos, and rain data in a neat manner for each job on the company’s shared server.
Sample storm water discharge for qualifying rain events on job sites.
Prepare inspection reports, sampling reports, and miscellaneous reports.
Conduct water quality monitoring, sampling, and analysis on job sites.
Interact with clients.
Complete foundational training and site-specific training as outlined for QSP Delegate Trainees by the California Stormwater Quality Association.
Attend classes and trainings to obtain required certifications.
Take necessary steps to gain CISEC and QSP certifications at the 2-year requirement, or prior based on previous experience.
Represent TCG in a positive and professional manner.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance, both onsite and in the field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
